CRS326-4C+20G+2Q+RM 10/100/1000/2500 Mbps Ethernet ?

Mon Mar 04, 2024 9:56 pm

Does the newly announced CRS326-4C+20G+2Q+RM support auto negotiation 10/100/1000/2500 ? Theoretically the switchip 98DX83xx (https://www.marvell.com/content/dam/mar ... 016-12.pdf) is capable of this.

I am legitimately concerned about this product.

It shares the same processor as the CRS354s that have had issues with ports malfunctioning for 4 years.

Normis will pop up in the thread and ASK US "IF" the most recent routerOS addresses the issues.

This is absolutely absurd!

It's a reminder how "gun shy" I have become THANKS TO MIKROTIK.

I LOVE ROUTEROS. I can really count on the routing. I have systems with years of stability.

But Mikrotik has F--ked me with sub par to outright bad products before.

So I bring everything to the bench and beat on it for weeks and months, before I consider spec'ing anything. Which is a tremendous waste of time. Which is compounded by the fact that Mikrotik can't or won't fix something's. Honestly I would be a lot less pissed off if they pulled the CRS354. The fact it's still out there is ridiculous.

We really need a single interface and set if features across switches.

Look at what The Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch line was... Modernize the line. Make sure it actually works. The money will flow.
