2.4GHz channel width not working in ROS 7 with hAP ac

Thu Feb 15, 2024 2:35 am

Just like to ask here before I blunder in with a bug report. I've upgraded my lab hAP ac lite (router/CAPSMAN) and hAP lite (access point) to ROS 7.13.4 and I'm experimenting with CAPsMAN. In v6, this is how I often have 2.4GHz configured, i.e. extension channel disabled to select 20MHz wide channel:

This forces the 2.4Ghz channel to be 20MHz wide. Other common values are XX to make it 40MHz wide or Ce/eC if I want granular control on a specific frequency. However, on ROS 7.13.4, this doesn't appear to be working. If I set it to this:

We end up with frequency/channels like this: 2452/20-Ce/gn. Sort of understandable that it's defaulting to 40MHz wide channel.

However, on ROS 7, if I set extension channel to disabled, the channel stays as 2452/20-Ce. I can't work out how to specify a 20MHz channel width. Must be missing something obvious or the extension channel isn't working in ROS 7. I've seen lots of posts about CAPsMAN in ROS 7, so it's possible I suppose.
