Hi,
we got a well running CRS317 based network, then we introduced ROS v7 to get hardware forwarding.
OSPFv2 (IPv4) works well on all devices and between different releases.
OSPFv3 (IPv6) is quite another beast: if ROS7 does ospfv3 on the dedicated (not bridge-swichted) ethernet (1G) port - everything is fine too.
But if we put a vlan on some sfpp-port (tagged via bridge) then we see the following: for about 5 minutes the ospfv3 using this tagged vlan from one switch to another the adjacency forms and exchanges routes. Afterwards (5 minutes passed) communication is lost for ospfv3, ospfv2 still works fine.
Disabling and re-enabling the ospfv3 instance re-establishes the connection. We suspect some bad ipv6 multicast handling by the switch (IGMP snooping is disabled), but have no idea how to fix this.
Any input is very welcome
