RB2011iL Bridge problem

Mon Oct 23, 2023 4:39 pm

Hello colleagues,

In our service provider network, we are facing an issue with our Mikrotik devices of model RB2011iL. The configuration on all devices is identical. The RB2011iL router is functioning as an L2 switch within the network, which comprises 3 VLANs. Among these VLANs, one is designated for management, while the remaining two are integrated into the bridge and connected to individual ports.

The problems primarily revolve around the RB2011iL model. After configuring the bridge and when traffic appears, the CPU usage spikes to 70-90%, causing operational flaws. Specifically, when an IP address is assigned to the Mikrotik device and it is pinged, there is packet loss. However, upon disabling the bridge through which the traffic is routed, the router experiences no packet loss, and the CPU spike decreases to 15-20%. The traffic flow is approximately 40-50 Mb.

We kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue.

You did not specify, but from your description, it sounds like you are using RouterOS - not SwitchOS. You would do better to post this in the General or Beginner Basics sections of this forum. This section of the forum is specifically intended for SwitchOS use. Far better chance that someone will answer your question.
