It's very useful for me, because having whole config as single text enables me to:
- assess and analyze the configuration as whole, which makes it much easier to spot oddities or things that should not be there, or are inconsistent,
- store it in git, and be able to review changes comparing to previous committed configuration, and also to quickly recover previous config in case if I break config by messing with device, or manage to completely lock out from device (start from scratch/reset),
- share it with others (handover).
So, I bought RB260GSP (CSS106-1G-4P-1S), because I needed fiber (SFP) and PoE-in with PoE-out, and this device delivers these physical qualities, but to my surprise - coming from RouterOS:
- there is no CLI for SwOS,
- there is no export of config in human readable format from SwOS.
I would very much appreciate even print-like export, that is not importable back. Just, if it fulfils points above.
I plan to add another PoE switch. And, alternatively, there's hEX PoE (RB960PGS), that uses the same QCA8337 switch chip, but it is almost twice as expensive.
