Generic Marvell 1802 USB LTE RNDIS dongle not working

Sun Sep 17, 2023 11:12 am

Hi. I have such a problem.

RB2011UiAS-2HnD firmware 7.11.2 (tried on 7.5 with no luck, upgraded with no effect)
Generic RNDIS LTE USB dongle on Marvell 1802 chip (Device ID 0x4e31).

Dongle works perfectly on pc and OpenWRT, devices recieves ips from dongle dhcp server, but when i plug it into routerboard it's not initialized as CDC-ACM network. Mikrotik shows me lte1 interface which is not running and does not automatically create dhcp-client and interface address record (I get such behavour connecting my mobile phone to usb). I can not manually assign interface address and create route - they are marked red as incorrect.
Lte log topic is empty.
Is there a way to make it work? May be i need to force routerboard init it as RNDIS somehow? Please help.

If trying under latest ROS (at this time that's 7.12beta) doesn't get the dongle working, then most likely cause is lack of correct driver in ROS. In this case you should create supout.rif file while dongle is plugged in and open support ticket (attach the said file). MT might add support for your hardware in some future time ...

Thank you. I tried 7.12beta7 with no luck. I'll try to open support ticket.
