Hi all,
Trying to Netinstall 7.12 to my hAP ax2, it says installing then Ready after I try to flash 7.12 to it via netinstall but after reboot it still has 7.12RC6.
Do I need to do anything special, might be missing a step somewhere this is what I did.
I've reset to Default first.

RouterBoard settings....
Boot Device: nand-if-fail-then-ethernet
Boot Protocol: Bootp
Everthing else is unticked in the Routerboard settings section

What I did was extract all the files to my Desktop

set 192.168.88.2 PC
set 192.168.88.1/24 Gateway
Run netinstall 7.12 as Administrator
set 192.168.88.3 Net Booting Tab
selected default config switch and highlight the files I want to install...
RouterOS-7.12-arm64.npk
Wifiwave2-7.12-arm64.npk
Clicked on the device I want to flash in the upper section then pressed install.

Try without wifiwave2 package, only ros package. I had problem like your before when netinstalling ros.

I always netinstall pure ROS and then I add packages I need.

For some reason it wanted evrything in the same folder. Note to self for future reference, use the same folder and make sure it's not in a double folder

Yea, I find netinstall very flaky... At least windows version... Once i netinstalled ax2, same packages, 3 times no luck, same old version, 4th time new version but no default config...

As soon as I removed wifiwave2 package from netinstall everything worked.

That was my next call but shifting everything to it's own folder worked. Also I noted it was trying to use the stuff from 7.12RC6 I had in another folder as well. I think for my next try Linux may be the way forward.

It was happy to install both packages though, so very strange experience indeed!

Since using Linux for netinstall, I NEVER used Windows anymore for that process.
Windows, maybe 50-60% success rate.
Linux, over 90% (I can only recall 1 Linux netinstall which I had to redo on maybe 15-20 installs and that was my own fault)
