    smtp server problem

    Rekan2 semua,

    saya lg bingung ada masalah sama smtp server (outgoing mail server)
    jadi begini ceritanya :

    bandwith intl saya pakai fastnet
    bandwith lokal pakai wireless

    koneksi fastnet dengan cara cable modem==>router linksys==>router mikrotik===> pc client
    saya menggunakan outlook express sebagai software pengirim email

    dengan smtp server (outgoing mail server) sesuai dengan fastnet : mail.fast.net.id

    setiap saya kirim email melalui outlook, penerima email dari saya selalu mendapat kiriman email dari saya dengan subject [SPAM] isi subject (singkatnya email yg saya kirim selalu dianggap spam oleh si penerima)

    herannya hal ini tidak terjadi kalo koneksi ke fastnet dilakukan melalui cable modem==>router linksys==>pc client (tidak muncul tulisan spam)

    masalah ini hanya terjadi bila koneksi fasnet melalui
    cable modem==>router linksys==>router mikrotik==>pc client (muncul tulisan spam)


    kira2 rekan2 ada yg tahu ngga solusinya gimana? karena kalo setiap email dianggap spam akan merugikan karena email2 penting bisa tidak sampai kepada si penerima

    coba koneksi ke smtp fastnet di arahkan menggunakan koneksi fastnet jangan melalui wireless.

    Sepertinya ada sesuatu settingan aneh yang terjadi pada router mikrotik.
    Sebab koq aneh banget ya bisa kayak gitu.

    Tapi bisa jadi SMTP si Fastnet mendeteksi ada keanehan. Itu bisa terjadi. Bisa pake SMTP luar ndak ? misalnya SMTP Gmail ? tapi kalau pake smtp gmail mesti ada account dulu.

    setingan firewall mikrotiknya gmana?
    coba tanpa rule... yg penting bisa konek aja.

    @ dirman : saya udah arahin smtp server ke koneksinya fastnet, tapi masih ngga bisa

    @ term : usulan bagus bos, saya coba pakai gmail deh , anda tau settingan smtp gmail ngga?

    @ bajidungatelli : router linksys itu buat koneksi fastnet biar bisa muncul gatewaynya, dan saya terpaksa pakai router linksys karena fastnetnya ada di lokasi lain jadi pakai ptp (cable modem ==>router linksys==>ptp pakai jaht==>mikrotik

    dan anehnya saya coba pakai smtp isp wireless saya kasusnya juga sama

    sudah coba tanya di Customer service-nya fastnet? mungkin ip address yang dipake pernah untuk ngirim Spam atau dianggap bervirus? atau dianggap ngirimnya bukan sebagai client fastnet karena lewat ptp?

    Update: atau mungkin ada masalah dengan paket MSS nya, cuplikan di bawah adalah artikel dari manual Mikrotik tentang mangle.

    Change MSS
    It is a well known fact that VPN links have smaller packet size due to incapsulation overhead. A large packet with MSS that exceeds the MSS of the VPN link should be fragmented prior to sending it via that kind of connection. However, if the packet has DF flag set, it cannot be fragmented and should be discarded. On links that have broken path MTU discovery (PMTUD) it may lead to a number of problems, including problems with FTP and HTTP data transfer and e-mail services.

    In case of link with broken PMTUD, a decrease of the MSS of the packets coming through the VPN link solves the problem. The following example demonstrates how to decrease the MSS value via mangle:

    [admin@MikroTik] > /ip firewall mangle add out-interface=pppoe-out \
    \... protocol=tcp tcp-flags=syn action=change-mss new-mss=1300 chain=forward
    [admin@MikroTik] > /ip firewall mangle print

    di versi 3.xx yang saya pake, "auto create" alias muncul otomatis di mangle ketika koneksi sped##l yg dial mikrotiknya....
