Rencana Global Crossing, Oxygen, Singtel, Nala etc untuk buat kabel laut gagal total karena masalah keuangan.

Sekarang Matrix Networks Pte. Ltd. di Singapore dan PT. NAP Info Lintas Nusa di Indonesia, bekerjasama membangun kabel laut Singapora Batam Jakarta yg akan diresmikan sekitar Mei 2008, dengan harga jauh lebih murah dari monopoli PT Telkom, PT Indosat, PT XL

Matrix Initial Equipage:

• 4x10Gb/sec on the express fiber-pair between Singapore and Jakarta.
• 2x10Gb/sec on the local-looping fiber-pair between Singapore, Batam, North Asia, and Jakarta.
• 1x10GB/sec on the express fiber-pair between Singapore and Batam.

Transmission Configuration

• 2x10Gb/sec protected bandwidth on both the Express Fiber Pair and the Local Looping Fiber Pair.
• 2x10Gb/sec Preemtible Bandwidth using the spare protection capacity of the above.
• 2x10Gb/sec Unprotected Bandwidth (IP only) on the Express Fiber Pair.
• 1x10GB/sec Unprotected Bandwidth (IP only) on the Express Fiber Pair.

Design Capacity:

• 64x10Gb/sec per fiber-pair, for a total of 2.56Tbps between Singapore and Jakarta + 2.56Tbps direct from Singapore to Batam.

Singapore Landing


MCS Cable Landing Station is located in JTC’s North Changi Industrial Estate, ensuring Industrial Grade Building and sufficient power to support the need of the landing station.
Situated in Singapore’s North Changi Main Cable Corridor, MCS Singapore Beach Manhole is protected by the government and Singapore Port Authority.

Jakarta Landing


The Jakarta Beach Manhole and Cable Landing Station are situated in Pantai Mutiara (North of Jakarta).
• Providing direct access to the sea in a protected environment.

The CLS will be directly connected through NAP’s terrestrial fiber optic cable to 2 POPs, Cyber Building and NAP’s IIX-3 at Kuningan Plaza, enabling any customer to have POP-to-POP express link Jakarta-Singapore, with maximum availability.
